CITY OF TACOMA -
$20,000 DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
If you wish you could own your own home,
but do not have the money for the down payment and closing costs, this
program may be the answer you are looking for. Funds are available to
provide loans up to
$20,000 to assist with the down payment and closing costs needed to buy a
home. These funds are available for purchasing homes in most of Tacoma
south of 6th Avenue (check map for qualifying areas). The loans are for up
to 20 years, with no interest and no monthly payments required during that
time. The loan is due and payable if the home is sold during the loan term
or no longer occupied by the owner. If you can afford a house payment but
just need help with the down payment and closing costs and you meet the
income guidelines listed below, try DPA. If this sounds like the answer to
your dream of owning a home, give the folks at the City offices a call at
591-5219 or 591-5200 for more details.
